Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site may earn a commission. They are labelled. Editorial judgements are not for sale, and commission does not decide which hotels we include.
When a booking link is an affiliate link it uses rel="sponsored noopener" and is built through Stay22 Allez, not by rewriting the page as an online travel agency. Each commercial page shows a disclosure before the first booking recommendation on that page. Editorial copy — verdicts, facts, sources — is written first; booking buttons sit beside or below it as a separate action.
We are also in the Booking.com UK affiliate programme, run through the CJ affiliate network. Booking.com links appear in clearly labelled places outside the hotel recommendations: a link to browse more hotels in a destination after our shortlist, airport taxi and car hire links where the journey makes them useful, and occasional Booking.com offers with the advertiser’s end date. Hotel booking buttons on our recommendations stay with Stay22.
A small number of these Booking.com placements are advertisement images supplied through CJ. They load only after you allow affiliate and marketing storage; until then the same space shows a plain text link. Offer wording, such as a percentage discount, is the advertiser’s claim, not our assessment.
Inclusion is editorial. Affiliate eligibility or the size of a commission does not determine whether a hotel appears on a shortlist, in what order, or with what wording. Hotels we cannot source are left out, even if a booking link could be built.
If no Stay22 account id is configured, we do not emit broken booking buttons. The site remains readable as editorial HTML. The optional Stay22 script is off by default and loads only after you allow affiliate and marketing storage, and only when a Hub-generated script URL is set.
We do not invent live room rates, countdown timers or pop-ups. Map widgets, when enabled, sit below the editorial list of the same hotels. Direct labelled booking links still work if you reject optional storage; the optional script and map do not.
