Access

Accessibility statement

We design this static editorial site so it can be read and used with the least extra code we can. This is a description of that work, not a certified WCAG audit.

What is in place

  • A skip link to the main content on every page.
  • A page header, main landmark and footer, with a single first-level heading.
  • Visible focus styles for keyboard use.
  • Colour contrast treated as a design constraint (WCAG AA as the target, not a badge).
  • Motion reduced when your device asks for it (prefers-reduced-motion).
  • Primary copy, headings, hotel facts and booking calls-to-action in the HTML, not behind a client-only view.
  • Site search that can be used from the keyboard, with a no-JavaScript list of published pages on /search/.

What we do not claim

We have not published a formal accessibility audit, a conformance certificate, or a decorative accessibility badge. Automated checks run in development on a sample of pages; they are not a substitute for a professional audit or for testing with assistive technology.

Hotel access information

Where a hotel page mentions access, it describes specific documented features and says what has not been confirmed. That is editorial research, not an access survey of the building. Confirm requirements with the hotel. See how we review hotels.

Reporting a problem

Email hello@bestukhotels.com with the page URL and what blocked you. The same address is on contact.
